OS X DNS lookup issues
« "Set the gearshift for the high gear of your soul" | Main | Swedish localization for blojsom »I've been having DNS lookup issues like some other OS X users. Basically, the first time I'd hit certain sites, the DNS lookup would fail. The next time I'd try to hit the site, the DNS lookup wouldn't fail and the site would load. This was extremely frustrating. I can't say when it started. Maybe it was around the update to 10.3.6, maybe it was sooner.
However, explicitly adding the name servers for my ISP into the Airport Extreme settings in addition to the name servers setting in System Preferences | Network seems to have made the issue go bye-bye.
Here's hoping the forthcoming 10.3.7 fixes this issue once and for all.
