My Buddy and Me
« LOL American | Main | Smoke »On the geo-blogging front ... Geo-Blogging with Blojsom and RouteBuddy + Google Earth
I've just written up a little how to on how to Geo-Blog using Blojsom and RouteBuddy + Google Earth on RouteBuddy forum. RouteBuddy is a very slick and well thought out GPS application to the Mac. My little how to should allow you to bridge the gap from reading about a location to getting there in reality in your car or on foot. If you have a RouteBuddy installed on your Mac just click on the little RouteBuddy icon below. To see a little demo movie click here.
Excellent work there Adam!

If you find RouteBuddy too costly, there is a freeware alternative named TrailRunner. It's more aimed at people doing long distance sports but as it can export GPX and KML files, it's also well suited to support geotagging. http://www.trailrunnerx.com
Can't believe how much attention is given to these whiz-bang plugins. These days the only thing being discussed on the blojsom-users list is the Weather Plugin.
I have been putting in about 60 hours a week over the past month getting Blojsom towork and adapting it for a production launch.
The basic design is awesome, David, did you do it for your Master's degree? But there are a lot of bugs in v3.2
Main changes I have made:
- Use dynamic urls
- Integrate FCKeditor
- Support multiple categories
- Add plugin for form to insert name/address into DB (client...)
In progress:
- Upload Images/Flash to Database (to support clustering)
-ShareIt widgit
- multilingual by url, myblog.ca and myblog.ca/en

Can haz weather plugin working with Geo so can see oh nos?
