One year ago today, blojsom 1.0

« New dining room! | Main | Ecto 1.0 »
One year ago today, we released blojsom. Version 1.0 was a good start, but looking back, it sucked /images/emoticons/mozilla_laughing.gif

How in the hell could I have initially said no to the plugin API? The mind boggles. Our "milkshake" is definitely better than yours in that area. I'm damn sure of it. And what other blog software allows you to develop templates in JSP, Velocity, or FreeMarker? Only blojsom! And you can mix-and-match there too! And then there was the XML-RPC support. Happy to say we're rockin' in that arena. Blogger API, MetaWeblog API, and Atom API ... all supported. Do I have to mention multi-contributor, multi-blog support? That was a major milestone in 2003.

What does 2004 have in store for blojsom? You're going to see some updates to blojsim (Instant Messenger add-on), finally I'll be checking in the code for the moblog plugin, playing around with a DatabaseFetcher, more plugins, and much more.
