Preparations

Just finished beating Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando. Forget the challenge mode and other extra goodies that come along with the video game. There's always time for that later on down the road.

I now need to prepare for the forthcoming release of We Love Katamari (previously blogged here). It looks like it'll arrive from Amazon.com on or about its release date in-store.

We Love Katamari, I am ready to receive you.

Technorati's Psychic Search

Background: Google Blog Search, Technorati's Dave Sifry welcomes Google, blah blah blah.

I guess I was drawn to the mis-spelled tag, gratutude. Click that link which brings up its Technorati tag page. Even though Dave's entry welcoming Google says, "Posted by dsifry at September 14, 2005 01:40 AM", Technorati exposes its psychic search capability on the tag page, "Posted 542 days ago in Sifry's Alerts 817 links * By David Sifry". Don't let the dates fool you!

Dave says, "I welcome the competition. We've got some tricks up our sleeves too ...". Yeah, I'd say psychic search is pretty kick ass. Either that or some b0rk3d date format parsing. Either way ... humor!

Ireland in September Update

I went to AAA at lunch and picked up my International Driving Permit. Be afraid Dubliners, be very afraid /images/emoticons/mozilla_laughing.gif I was actually surprised at how easy it was to get a permit to drive in other countries. I'm pretty sure you're allowed to operate semi-trucks in Zimbabwe with this thing. Yeah, I'm not joking here people, check the list of countries honoring International Driving Permits!

Arriving in Dublin, Ireland on September 30th and leaving Dublin, Ireland on October 10th.

Staying 2 nights in Dublin at the Mespil Hotel. The price was reasonable and seemed pretty well situated in the city. After that it's sort of up in the air. Coming back into Dublin at the end of the trip, might just book at the Mespil again.

I've already booked dinner at Eden Restaurant for Friday evening. If anyone has recommendations for other hot spots to eat at on Saturday night, let me know.

Besides that, if anyone has recommendations on things to do while in Dublin or Ireland in general, by all means, leave a comment or shoot me an e-mail.
