wrong notes ... the music blog of the Ear Reverends

"Welcome, these are Wrong Notes, music blog music. "Link.
With these Wrong Notes, I hope to experiment with the blog concept / structure itself as a concept / structure for music. Small "microcontent" musical fragments will be presented on their own (as part of each blog post) as well as collected together by virtue of appearing on the main blog page at the same time, and in other time-based collections (e.g., a month archive).

The Wrong Notes will be accessible here in several forms. Each fragment will be directly accessible as a link on this page (also available in RSS2 enclosures), and also in playlist collections (aka music "feeds") in m3u, SMIL, and other formats.
Honestly, Jay of iCite fame, has outdone himself with the slick design of this blog. The layout is phenomenal. There are "tracks" that go along with each blog entry. Oh, and the RSS 2.0 feed has enclosures! And the colors change! It's subtle ... stick around for a little and they change.

It's just ... well, it's just such a refreshing site. It's built using blojsom. I'm still in a state of shock.

It looks too good. It's like the Prada of blojsom blogs. My site sucks! I can only afford Levi's /images/emoticons/mozilla_laughing.gif

Bravo ... just ... bravo!

Sandler SAX Serialization

Brian McCallister has checked in an initial version of SAX serialization for Sandler. Sandler has abstracted the serialization out of the objects themselves for a bit now and you can use the StringSerializer, WriterSerializer, and now the SAXSerializer. Sandler keeps getting better! Thanks Brian.

Announcing Gothsom

To better reflect my beliefs and worldview, I have chosen to rename blojsom. Effective today, blojsom will now be known as Gothsom. We are the goth of blog software.

All themes that do not use a greyscale color scheme will be removed from the repository.

This may seem like an extreme move to some, but I believe that just as we have a responsbility to use the GPL and the like as much as possible to promote the positive social force of Software Libre, we must also use software to advocate for our personal beliefs and worldview.

Thus, the Gothsom license will also be modified to add the following clause: 'This software may be used by anyone, except conformists. Especially not conformists.'

Think Different.

Yeah, it's just one of those days.
