blojsom plugin contribution: File Time

Lars has posted his File Time plugin for blojsom. Source and plugin available here.

Basically it works by adding the plugin to the plugin.properties of the blojsom installation, adding the plugin to the plugin chain for the blog. It's being use by either having a meta-entry-date=<yyyy-mm-dd HH:MM> in the blog. If that is not there ther file names is being checked if it ends with <yyyy-mm-dd-HH-MM.ext>, if that is not the found it will use the file's last access time.
Nice! Thanks.

Ignorance is blissed

blissed: process + state framework from the beotches at codehaus. blojsim: instant messenger add-on for blojsom. blojsim is in need of "conversational" IM support. What's that mean? Well, what if you could edit your blog via IM? You can with blojsim and blojsom 1.x (not blojsom 2.x since multi-user blojsom really changed things). Conversational IM blog editing would basically involve simple commands you execute via your "blog buddy" over IM. My thoughts on revamping blojsim are to make it a more general IM to blog client (XML-RPC?). So, my thought was to model the "conversation" as a process in blissed and use that in blojsim which handles the requests from your blog buddy, transitions state in the process, and at certain points makes XML-RPC requests to interact with your blog. Simple? Interested? Stay tuned...

Maple Avenue Fire Department chooses blojsom

The Maple Avenue Fire Department has gone with blojsom to host its news. The site is using blojsom in various ways, but most notably with its flavor support so that the news headlines can be shown in a headline flavor on the main site. Clicking on the individual headlines brings you to the entries in the blog.

To Spike Lee: Do The Right Thing and shut the fsck up!

Apparently, Spike Lee commented on Janet Jackson's breast bearing incident.
"What's gonna be next? It's getting crazy, and it's all down to money. Money and fame," said Lee, the director of "Malcolm X" and "Do the Right Thing." "Somehow the whole value system has been upended."
How in the hell can you issue a statement like that when obviously the only reason you brought any litigation against Spike TV was to get paid and get back into the spotlight again? What a nimrod.

Oh, and your movies suck.
