An update expected for the Java Runtime on OSX?

Is there one on the horizon? I honestly don't know. The last update to the Java Runtime for OSX on the Apple Developer Connection website was the Java 1.4.1 Update DP102 posted on 21 Jun 2003. However, this is arguably not an option for anyone to install unless you've got an OSX box you really don't care about. That's just because you can't uninstall this update without reinstalling your system. Uggggggh. It's just that OSX is, IMHO, such a nice platform on which to develop Java that I'd like to see it's Java Runtime on par with what's available for Windows and the various UNIX flavors. I'm not personally hurting for a 1.4.2 Runtime ... but it'd be nice.
